We were all scolded by our parents at dinner at some point saying, “Make sure you eat all your carrots, or you’ll end up having to wear glasses”. Unfortunately, a majority of us still have to wear glasses, and its probably not because we didn’t eat enough carrots!

If you’re a seafood lover, you’re in luck. Fatty fish like salmon, tuna, and trout are rich in DHA, naturally found in ou r retina. Give yourself a boost by eating some fish, and decrease your risk of suffering from dry eyes.
Why not throw some nuts into your next salad. Nuts like almonds, pistachios, and walnuts all contain Vitamin E which help to slow down macular degeneration. Those paired up with some leafy greens like kale or spinach, which contain lutein that lowers the risk of cataract development.
These are all foods that are fairly easy to incorporate into our daily diets in different ways and variations. Give them a try, yummy and delicious all while bettering the health of your eyes.
